The classic’s scathing, timeless satire resonates here with an almost Kafkaesque absurdity. Theatricality intertwines with a piercing sense of despair and existential abandonment in an alien, incomprehensible world operating by its own unknown laws, whilst social lampoon merges with dramatic and philosophical reflections of striking depth.
