Description
The play takes place in the opulent home of successful playwright Charles Condomine and his new wife, Ruth. Charles doesn't believe in the afterlife and intends to mock the ignorance of the spiritualists popular in bohemian circles by inviting the extravagant Monsieur Arcati, a professional medium, to a party.
At first, the party proceeds as expected - conversations, jokes, and mutual sarcasm. However, after the start of an unusual séance, strange things begin to happen in the house.
