An absolutely incredible story: a young, beautiful widow marries the best friend of her husband, who died at the front. She is in love and happy, but her first husband, having survived a wound and captivity, and partially lost his memory, suddenly returns to his beloved wife. Her marital bliss collapses like a house of cards: unable to choose between two dearly beloved husbands and thereby make the other unhappy, the poor woman flees to a third suitor and a broken heart.
Serious passions combined with subtle English humor, situational comedy and exquisite psychology, a dream of happiness and a parody of the institution of marriage – all this is in the play "Pretty Woman," which will tell viewers how difficult it is to coexist with happiness and beauty.
